CHROMATIZING :- As an alternative to zinc phosphate coating, chromate coating can also be used which although has lesser corrosion resistance than zinc phosphate. Still, the process is easy to operate & has least sludge formation & provides acceptable paint adhesion. This doesn’t require activation and passivation steps (six tank process).
